Joanna Gomez
Joanna Gomez was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana but grew up in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Mrs. Gomez practiced as a Registered Nurse in Alabama and Mississippi from 1984 until attending Mississippi College School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2005.
Joanna participated in state and national moot court competitions while in law school and received the 2004 American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition Regional Third Best Brief Award. She remains actively involved with the Appellate Advocacy program at Mississippi College School of Law by serving as a National Moot Court Competition Team Coach.
Joanna’s husband, Sal, is a counselor and schoolteacher with the Pearl School District, and they are the proud parents of two children, Mark and Emily. They are active members of Fondren Presbyterian Church and enthusiastic supporters of the Jackson Futbol Club.
